The Computer Ethics Institute began with a unique synthesis of industry, academic, and public policy interests. The founding organizations were The Brookings Institution, IBM, the Washington Consulting Group, and the Washington Theological Consortium. This collaborative philosophy is reflected in the Institute’s constituency, which is comprised of members of the IT professions and the academic, corporate, and public-policy communities.
