CONVOCATION
New Ethics for the Computer Age?

In the days before the Internet became mainstream and the computer was emerging in households, the Computer Ethics Institute held their first Computer Ethics Conference discussing many ethical concerns that our society later had to face. The main topic was whether or not we would have to construct a new field of ethics containing new meta-ethical theories in order to understand and comprehend computer behavior. Was this the beginning of an environmental ethics, a medical ethics, or something more?
