This paper examines a particular computer database that maintains client-specific information on persons, aged 60 and over, who receive selected public services. DeRezno investigates the negative consequences that computers can have and in particular, the negative consequences of this database. DeRezno has his eyes to the value of distributive justice. Computers don’t always take all crucial factors into consideration, and this leads to a disproportionate distribution of goods.
